TRENTON – Trenton Mayor’s Court has hundreds of defendants that still have unpaid fines dating back several years. In an effort to bring these accounts current, Trenton Mayor’s Court is implementing a program to grant amnesty to these defendants. They will have until February 19, 2010 to come in and either pay their fine in full, or make arrangements to pay their fine after a payment has been made on their account.
To determine if they have any unpaid fines, they will be able to check online at our City of Trenton’s website ci.trenton.oh.us to see if their name appears on the list of delinquent accounts, or they can call the Clerk of Court at (513) 988-6304 ext. 101 and find out the status of their account and if there is a warrant for their arrest. After February 19, 2010 if the person with outstanding fines has not made contact with the court regarding their account a warrant for their arrest will be issued.
Sometime in the near future a warrant sweep will be conducted at a time and date that will NOT be publicly announced. Once this occurs, the defendant will be arrested will appear in Trenton Mayor’s Court the same day and face incarceration.
