Welcome to The City of Trenton - Ohio

---------------------------------------------------

We are receiving multiple complaints regarding Direct Energy representatives going door-to-door in our community.   Under Freedom of Speech laws, they have every right to visit your home.  Many complaints received indicated that they are providing  inaccurate information.  We suggest that you simply request that they leave your property and not return if you are not interested in what they are representing.  Again, it is not illegal to go door-to-door; however, you should refrain from providing anyone personal information or signing anything unless you are comfortable that the information being provided is accurate and true.

Please understand that the City is not involved in gas or electric services.
