PUBLIC DEFENDER – TRENTON MAYOR’S COURT

QUALIFICATIONS

Licensed Attorney – practicing law in Ohio for a minimum of three (3) years and license must be in good standing.

Three (3) years practice in Criminal Law preferred.

DUTIES

To represent indigent defendants in Trenton Mayor’s Court including trials, pre-trials and pleas.

A minimum of two (2) afternoons per month with a minimum of two (2) hours per court session.

Court currently convenes at 5:00 pm on the first and third Wednesday of each month (subject to change) to include up to three (3) Wednesdays per month.

COMPENSATION

Compensation will range from $4,800 - $7,800 per year.

Court is currently held two times per month on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays (subject to change).

No health benefits will be offered..
